Secret Coders
A Book for the Non-Coders in Your Life
One of the holiday presents that I got for my wife this year is Secret Coders by Gene Luen Yang. It's aimed at young adults, and it's a very interesting look at some of the basic concepts of programming. It references Logo, counting in binary, and basic functions. It's not going to teach anyone programming, but it made for a fun programming adjacent thing to talk about with a non-programmer in my life.
For more serious programming reading material, I just started my copy of the Objc.io Core Data Book and it's a very interesting look at Core Data stack.
